Common questions
How do I connect my Steam library?
In the app, go to Settings → Steam and follow the prompts to link your account, then tap Sync. Your owned games and wishlist come across automatically.
Some of my games aren't showing up
Two usual causes: (1) your Steam profile or game details are set to private — Steam won't share a private library with any app, so set Game details to Public in your Steam privacy settings and sync again; (2) the game is very new and not in our data yet — it should appear on a later sync. If a game is still missing after that, send us the name via Report a Bug.
Why is a game's info (release date, art, price) missing or wrong?
Game information comes from Steam's public data and can be incomplete or out of date. It usually fills in over the following days as we refresh it.
What counts as a "match" with another player?
A match is counted each time you and another member gave the same game the same score. The more scores you share, the higher your tier with that person — from Worth a Follow up to Helix God. You need to have rated enough games yourself before matches appear.
How do I manage or cancel my membership?
Membership is billed through the App Store. To cancel: on your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose Helix Gamer, and tap Cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals at the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
How do I export my data?
Settings → Data & Account → Export gives you a machine-readable file of everything tied to your account.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Data & Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, ratings, reviews, library, matches and follows. It can't be undone.
I want to report a review or a user
Use the Report option on that review or profile in the app. See the Community Guidelines for what we act on and how.
I think my account was actioned unfairly
Email support@helixgamer.com with your username and what happened, and we'll review it.
